I love the 3-D effect on some of these cards. The verse on the thorny rose postcard is a bit thorny too when you think about it. What a nice day for a birthday. Good way for you to start off such a pretty month.
Oh, how lovely! I especially love the forget-me-nots (I was born on Forget-Me-Not Day). And by the way, here's wishing an early Happy Birthday to you (from Texas).
What lovely birthday postcards. My birthday is in a few weeks so I will count them as an early greeting. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Nice collection!
You have a new blog look to Pearl! It*s so bright, cheery, and Springy! The Lily of the Valley card is perfect for the 1st of May Day holiday here in France where everyone offers each other lily of the valley bouquets!
Beautiful cards...have a great birthday!
My birthday is in May too! The day after Mother's Day~May 11!

Hello from Pakistan!
Happy Postcard Friendship Friday!!!
I want to swap a postcard with world UNESCO heritage site from your country. Can you send me one such card?
In return I can send you a nice postcard with beautiful landscape from Pakistan - which I think will be a great addition in your collection?
You can leave me a comment at http://mycoolpostcardcollection.blogspot.com/
We can also make a blog link exchange if you are interested....
Best Regards
Yours Cheema
What beautiful postcards!
I like to buy pretty birthday postcards. They are usually cheap because most collectors don't want them. I figure I can send them to my sister for her birthday. But I end up keeping my favorites.
I love the way you pick out the details! they are all so very pretty.
In case I forget, I'm wishing you a Happy Birthday on May Day. Interestingly, a high school friend left the home town way back when and moved to New York City. He became a bona fide communist who actually sent Happy May Day, Comrade cards to old friends. So he was a bit eccentric, but he was the proud papa of two pampered ferrets. He even fought for custody of them when he and his wife divorced!
I'm speaking of him in past tense because I lost track of him and have no idea where or if he is, but I've often wondered what he thought about the collapse of communism in Europe.....
Pearl,
You know that I am wishing you the happiest Birthday ever, you deserve it!!!
Hugs,
Kathy
Hi Girlie-Bird! I have been a terrible blogging friend, and that probably won't get any better for at least a couple of weeks. I promise to send you an email soon. It's all good, just very busy and very tiring! :) But I do apologize! Happy "early" Birthday! And thanks for the Birthday wishes on my Birthday! That was so insightful and sweet of you to remember! Love your last two posts! The celebration of both the weddings and birthdays was beautifully presented! Hope all is well with you and your family! ~Big hugs your way, Rhonda :)
Happy PFF birthday. I love your pretty vintage cards and pictures. Hugs, Kathi
Your Birthday is on May day?! How fun! I loved May day when I was a little girl! In the Seatlle area, May day was a big celebration with a May pole, Queen of the May, flowers on door steps, etc. I don't know if Spring is appreciated anywhere like it is in the PNW!
Thanks for stopping by yesterday. It's always a pleasure to see you! What helps me get scrapbooking done is having a designated space *just* for it. I don't have that right now so that's why it's not getting done! ♥
Happy Birthday, Pearl! Your postcards are beautiful. May is an important month for me, too. I was married in May 30 years ago! Have a wonderful day! Twyla
Hi Pearl,
