I'm Just Peeking In...

Hello to all of you sweet people in the world of blog... I've been away, dealing with some medical issues and felt well enough to visit a lil bit today. I want to thank my praying friends... as you know, it truly means so much to me. I am going to post a few things and then it's back to bed for me... but as soon as I can, I'll return to read and catch up with everyone. Glory be to God...

Until another time... Pearl

In Honor of Memorial Day...

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

~ Luke 2:14 ~

I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.

~ William Ernest Henley ~

My thanks and prayers to all that serve(d) in order for my family to live in peace. I found the following quote marked in my Dad's book... long after he passed away. He'd served in the Army.

Is there another life? Shall I awake and find this all a dream?
There must be; we cannot be created for this type of suffering.
~ John Keats ~

That always makes me stop and think about so many things. Mostly about how hard it must have been for him... and how scared he must have been... all without word or complaint to us kids. ~soft whispers toward Heaven~ I miss you, Daddy... and love you so much.

Please be safe, everyone... God bless.

My Very Own Itty~Bitty...

Look at what came in the mail for me! ~excited smile~

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of meeting a unique artist named Melinda. I found her when I heard a lil wish of hers for a new Blog Banner... so, after visiting her neat blog, Melinda's Fabric Fancies, I was inspired and did a few banners for her. As always, I had fun creating something special for a new friend!

One of Melinda's passions is creating small altered art pieces called Itty Bitty's... I was thrilled to open one from her as a "thank you" for the banners! She also sent a cute button tack she made for hanging my new art work!

She captured my spirit well with her design... Lots of PINK and LOVE! Melinda, I could not be more pleased or honored and I'm truly grateful for your time, talents and friendship... thank you! And, if y'all have not had a chance to visit and meet Melinda, please take a moment to do so... and enjoy getting lost in her world for awhile! God bless.

Happy Mother's Day...

I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to everyone for a precious and lovingly blessed Mother's Day. It's looking like I'll be away from posting for a few days or so. I'm grateful for the prayers and warm thoughts for my girlfriend, Cat, as she mourns the loss of her son. God has surely blessed me with such a fine group of women and I shall keep my new friends in prayer, as well. Happy Mother's Day.
Until another time... Pearl

A Swashbuckler Soiree...

It's time to set sail with the other Pirate's
I just need to set up my security system before I leave...

How nice of a few Pirate girl friends to stay behind to guard my land~lovin'~goodies!
Since my Graduation from Pirate Camp, I've been really looking forward to the Swashbuckler Soiree.

I'm rather excited about demonstrating my Chandelier Swinging skills!

When all of the partying and plundering begins to settle down...
I have some Pirate Folklore stories to tell...
so gather 'round one and all...
The ghost of a beautiful woman haunts the house where her pirate-husband was murdered.
The skeletons of Captain Kidd's pirate crew return to the place where they buried their treasure.
Black Bartelmy was an evil, surly buccaneer who murdered his wife and children and went to sea with a band of pirates as nasty as he.
Blackbeard's ghost continues to walk the shores on the Pamlico Sound, searching for his head.
YO~HO~HO It's A Pirate's Life For ME!!
