Vintage Eye Candy part 12...

Wouldn't it be fun, and pretty, if there was a full moon every Halloween?! Reality deems it otherwise, but our imaginations can allow us to have full moons whenever we want! This group of Vintage Halloween post cards all have full moons, as do most. Don't forget to click on any image to enlarge it... Enjoy!

The next full moon for this year will be on October 14th. The last time there was a full moon on Halloween was 2001. We have to wait until 2020 to see the next Halloween full moon!

As many of you know, moons have different names for each month. The most popular name is the Harvest Moon, which is for September. The name(s) given to the moon for the month of October... Blood or Hunter's Moon.

The moon is 225,745 miles away from earth. If you could drive by car to the moon, at 70 mph, it would take 135 days to get there. 12 men have walked on the surface of the moon.
Of the 842 pounds of rocks from the moon, collected by Apollo, the oldest one is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old. Considering the moon weighs 81 quintillion tons, I think it's OK that we took a few rocks! I hope everyone sleeps well tonight as the Man-in-the-Moon smiles down upon earth...
God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

Pearl, Your facts about the moon are very interesting. I just wanted you to know that we bought our seven year old son a ghost Halloween costume. He loved it and was just thrilled. It was fun to let him dress up and scare us. I have loosened up a lot. I would not let our older children be "scary." I thought it was wrong. My husband thinks it's okay. I decided to loosen up. After all, the skeleton is God's creation along with the bat, black cat, and pumkins. I need to focus on Jesus, and not be so fearful and to be thinking everything is evil. Jesus' love cast out fear. I need to focus on Him and trust Him. Enough said. I hope you are having a good day today, Pearl. Hugs, Kathi

Oops, did I say we bought him a ghost? I meant skeleton. Anyway, it was a skeleton. I may post pictures later. Hugs, Kathi

Hi Pearl! How are ya! I love these photos. You know I've put my foot in it and now I've got to get it off. I'm deep into my kitchen redecoration you know, that's why I've not been around. I love all the photos especially the dogs dress as fast food. That was a real HOOT! I hope you're doing well, I'm planning to be finished with the wall paper removal today! Then I have a little repair work and I'm going to wash down the baseboards and window and sills before painting. Take Care Deb
