Give~Away... Thanksgiving... & Random Ramblings...

Hard to believe that it's been almost two weeks since I last posted... For the most part, I've been tucked away in my bed, trying to get well... Not only did I get the Flu, but Bronchitis soon followed... UGH... I'm still taking medicine and will spare y'all the fine details... I know, you're welcome!

I'd like to thank everyone that sent me messages and emails... Your kind thoughts, concern, support and prayers have meant more to me than I can possibly express... Though I'm not out of the woods, yet, I am blessed to be able to finally sit up at my computer long enough to actually get some things done... Please forgive me for being so behind... I am truly looking forward to visiting each of you as soon as I can... I have missed y'all alot and am excited about being able to see all of the neat things that everyone's been doing...

Last month I had the pleasure of winning Priscila's Give~Away at her lovely blog Casa Bella Chic! Do yourself a favor and stop by to visit with her... She's a talented, sweet young mother with a terrific blog! And just look at what she sent to me! A Party in a Box! Thank you, Priscila, so very much... I just adore everything!

I got a blue lollipop and a gold ballerina, tucked into a lil bag with other goodies...

A sweet lil dolly and a neat box of vintage Birthday candles... I love the candle name on the box... Halo...

Don't you just adore the vintage Baby card?! Ohhh, and the vintage Party book... check out that Pink cake on the cover...

She also tucked in several pages from a vintage Dick and Jane book! ~swoons~ ... Who does not love Dick and Jane?!

I think the graphics in the Party book are awesome...

My new dolly agrees...

Thanks, again, Priscila... I am looking forward to lots of enjoyment from my new goodies!

I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that Thanksgiving is almost here... Did this year seem to fly by for y'all, too? Or, is it just an old-age thingie?! I spent a lil bit of time today searching through my images and found a few that I wanted to share... Now, I am not a gun-lover, and certainly do not encourage giving them to children, but I did think this was a neat old picture of this lil boy and the big turkey he found...

And I simply adored this photo of someone's Mom with her proud smile and her yummy looking Thanksgiving turkey... I felt compelled to add some color to her cheeks and give her a purple dress!

Certainly cannot forget Cats... These two Pilgrim Kitties crack me up... LOL

I liked this vintage post card's take on Plymouth Rock... so clever!

Of course, we need a Native American image to round out the Holiday theme...

Ahhh... that felt good... I have really missed posting and sharing images with everyone... I can't wait to hear about y'all's plans for Thanksgiving... so on that note, I am heading out to begin playing catch-up! See you soon...

God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

Hi Pearl, your pictures are so delightful! I quite behind myself and although I'm having Thanksgiving with my husbands family this year I still like to cook my own food right here at home. I guess it's something about having those leftovers that just go with the season. I happy to hear that you are up and well. Deb

Pearl I'm so sorry for not checking in with you. I have been very slow at getting back with people. I'm sorry you were sick. I hope you are soon to be feeling well and able to have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Those pictures are sooooo cute. I love the Pilgrim kitties. Pleasant Thursday to ya. Kathi

PS I got a used car. She is a 1986 car and is running perfectly and I'm so thankful for her. She is a pearl gray color. I'm thinking about naming her "Pearl." Thinking of you. :)
