Hard to Believe...

Please make sure that everyone has a good breakfast.

Please remember to come to class prepared.

Please make sure you remember your music and instrument.

Don't forget to practice!

Please try to look your best.

Apparently bringing a Giant Tussie Mussie to your Teacher is a good idea.

Hmmm... Did you leave your Smile at home?!

Oooops... Girls, please remember to sit with your legs together! Nice Tussie Mussie, by the way!

Young boys always look handsome in a nice hat. Good job remembering your Tussie Mussie!

Ahhh... now this is how a young lady should sit. Lucky Teacher to be getting this Tussie Mussie!

A polite young boy waiting for the Teacher to enter before he sits down. Pssst... don't forget to remove your hat indoors.

This cute girl must be eager to learn... or she needs to sit closer to the chalkboard.

Such a devoted student, to be dreaming of her textbooks!

Isn't Love one of the best lessons to learn?!

I just had to slip in a final farewell to the well-loved Beach!

It is my hope and prayer that God will bless each of our children as they begin another new year in their school journey. May His loving and protective hands guide each of them and keep them from harm. And may our Father find it in His heart to continue to guide us, as parents, in that we may be able to help our precious children in every possible way. Even as both of my son's enter College, I remain so very grateful to the Lord for allowing me to be their Mother, and for trusting in me enough to share in the upbringing of these two fine young men that are truly God's children.

Thank you to all of my friends that have offered prayers for my boys and please know that I keep you all, and your dear families, close in prayer as well... God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

Hi Pearl,
Well this is the second year I haven't had to get a child ready for school and I have to say I don't think I miss it. Your pictures were great today, as usual!!!

Hi Pearl, Have Alex and Tyler started college yet? If so, I wish them all the best! What a great post! I always enjoy your vintage posts and great commentary! Your collection of graphics is awesome! The rabbits playing the instruments just cracked me up! LOL!

Talk to you soon! We are having a lot of rain here, but I hope to get out to the PO tomorrow and send a little something your way! So be on the lookout! ;)

Love ya, Rhonda

Ahh, Pearl~
I'm with you in thought. My how time flies.

Love the vintage photos. I didn't know they made tussie mussie that large. I will have to look it up, the bigger the tussie mussie the better or the more you liked your teacher?

Thanks for saying bye to the beach for now. Your posts are always held close to my heart.

What cute and sweet pictures. I remember my mom making cream of wheat with the lumps in it our first day of school. I decided to homeschool this year cause I could NOT send my 5 year old to Kindergarten. So I kept the 3rd grader too. What a wimp I am. Why do they have to grow up? LOL

Hi Pearl,
Very sweet photos and you don't look old enough for college age sons. Have a nice Labor day weekend. Sounds funny, as it seems that we work around the house on this weekend :)
Warmly, Deb

This was cute...but what is a "Tussie Mussie?" I am sure that I am showing my age for asking such a question, but I was wondering what they were and why you might take one to school. They kinda look like a big mega phone they use to use at football games.~Blessings on your day!

Pearl, This is such a darling post. You are so creative. Today went really well for Jessica. She was scared at first and wasn't sure she wanted to start school. I cried after dropping her off. She has been home-schooled up until this year. When I picked her up she was smiling. She said it was fun!! I'm so thankful. I'm going to post about it next week. I'm hoping your boys had good days in college. Hugs, Kathi
