A Tiny Lil Mystery... Alot Of Cuckoo~Love...

I'm Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs...
Cuckoo-In-Love-With-Cocoa-Puffs...

Hey!... What's this photo doing in my Cocoa Puff post?

Have you figured it out, yet? It's such a tiny lil mystery...

Awwwww... Look at what's living with me, now...
A Puppy Dog!

I'm beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of my new baby girl...
Cocoa Puff...
We got her last weekend... she was 8 weeks old... she weighs 5 lbs.... though in most photos her eyes appear to be blue, they're really brown...
Say hello to all of the nice bloggers, Cocoa...

Cocoa was a gift from my dear friend, and our Vet... He knew I'd been wanting a lil lap dog to keep me company... She is a "Rescue" Puppy... she's also a mixed breed... Cocoa's Mommy passed away after a C-Section delivery that'd gone horribly wrong (not done by our Vet)... the details were never made clear to any of us... Apparently the litter of six puppies were swiftly dumped, in a box, at the SPCA... from there they were transferred to our Vet and upon arrival only two were alive... barely... Our Vet's group of workers kept them and nursed them til they could go to their "Forever Homes"...

Cocoa's Mommy was a Shih Tzu... details on her Daddy weren't clear, but it's believed that he might have been a Chow mix...

The only thing I know for certain is that she is amazingly soft... her coat is like lambs wool... very thick...

Cocoa was as happy to come home with us, as we were to have her! She's blended right in with all of us and is enjoying exploring her new home...

I'm sure she's on a sensory over-load, being as we already have two indoor cats and three ferrets! We are waiting awhile before we introduce her to all of the ferrets... However, she's met the cats! Cocoa wants so badly to play with them, but true to form, we have "skeerdy cats" and they run from her! Quite amusing...

I just love Cocoa's colors and markings... Of course I think she's the most beautiful puppy in the world! She's also a sweetheart with a very gentle disposition...

She did not "fight" having a collar put on... and she already knows what her leash means... Outside! Cocoa is very good at chasing 'n catching leaves...

Her pretty brown eyes show up nicely in this photo... Don't you just want to hold her?!... I knew it... There's only one "warning" that comes with her... ~whispers~ ... she can't "hold" her "licker" ...

Here she is, waiting in the kitchen for some Kibble...

Cocoa loves her "crunchies" and drinks lots of water...

We gave her a lil stuffed ferret to play with, since the "real-deal" is off limits for awhile...

Cocoa loves to run through the foyer... She's very fast...

She reminds me of leaping Deer... prancing and looking very adorable...

I'm so glad you were able to stop by and meet my new lil girl... she truly warms my heart... I've spent the past week in my glory, as she sleeps for hours on my lap... in the wee morning hours I bring her to my room and enjoy having her snuggle up with me until my Husband comes home and finds us tangled up in each other and the blankets! Though Cocoa has only been with me for a week, already I am so deeply in love, and cannot imagine my world without her in it...

Since my allergies surfaced and I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I can no longer eat Cocoa Puffs... Sadness... But, I did find some other ways to enjoy my favorite cereal, and I am adding these to my Odd Wish List for Santa...

As I said, earlier...

Attic Treasures... Hidden for Seven Years...

How on Earth did this happen?!?

Yesterday I ventured up into the attic with my Husband... He wanted me to show him which boxes to bring down for Christmas decorating... I rarely go to the attic, and was overwhelmed by the number of containers marked "Christmas"... they all ended up downstairs... Many of them had belonged to his Mom, and had been in our attic for the past 7 years... I had no idea they were there... and I was amazed at some of the treasures I found as I began to go through things...

There were alot of rather large Die Cuts of Holiday images... These beautiful Victorian children are covered with glitter...

I discovered a Vintage ceramic Santa Claus bank... He's sitting on the Toddler chair that belongs to my oldest son...

Santa's "fur" is done in "Spaghetti Trim"...

He certainly has a Jolly look on his face, doesn't he?!

The gold accents were showing very little wear and he's in terrific condition! And, no, there was no money inside of him... I checked!

I also found 2 large Die Cuts of those cute Campbell's Soup Kids... They're ready for Christmas!

Isn't she adorable with her reindeer apron and lil Elf helper at her side?!

I let out a lil squeal of delight when I saw these 4 precious deer peeking out at me with their sweet big eyes... I just Love deer...

They were hiding behind this Brandy Snifter filled with Vintage glass ornaments! By the time I made these discoveries, I was extremely exhausted... but I wanted to snag a few photos... I know they're not top quality, my hands were shaking, but I still wanted to share them... I guess I am just so amazed that I found them after all of these years!

I did not clean anything before taking photos...

I wonder how many ornaments are in there?!

Several different sizes...

Lots of colors...

Sadly, I did notice alot of broken ornaments in some boxes...

Also, there are just tons 'n tons of Hallmark ornaments, all in their original boxes... I also saw 3 boxes of Dept. 56 Snowbabies...

I'm looking forward to going through everything when I feel better... it very well may take a few months... and for sure I will be selling alot of what I find... I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my Attic Treasures... please come back soon to see more! Is everyone done with their decorating? I wonder if I'm the only one that doesn't have their tree up, still... Ohhh My! Hopefully we will soon be ready...

God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

Christmas Has Gone to the Cats 'n Dogs...

What would Christmas be without cute puppies sleeping in Santa hats?!... Or cats with red 'n green Holiday eyes...

Don't you just want to rub their lil bellies?!... I thought so...

This is my favorite cat Santa hat... with special places for her kitty ears...

We cannot ignore the awesome reindeer antlers that all dogs surely must love wearing...

Sigh... seems like there are still some mean reindeer on the playground... calling others bad names... Surely they'll end up on Santa's Naughty List...

You better watch out...

Oooooooops! I knew it was bound to happen...

Apparently Santa cats are making lists, too...

Uhh... Ohhh... all that name-calling is making the Santa cats mad...

Ohhhh Dear... now they're turning into cat Grinches...

Looks like the Santa cats are trying to join forces...

Our Hero... Santa Claus... He saved Christmas for us, but at what cost?!

YAY!... Santa Won!... Christmas was saved...

However... there was nothing that Santa could do to change a cat's opinion of kids... Sigh... you'd think being hauled around in a Pink trailer would make everything OK...

I just don't think I can watch it all...

Let's all try to remember to not go around calling names... and try really hard to keep your name off of the Naughty List! Ohhh... and don't forget to pull out the Santa hats and reindeer antlers for your cats 'n dogs... of course, please remember your ferrets and other pets, too!

God bless...

Until another time.. Pearl
