A Green Dream...

While rambling to a friend, via email, the other day, I wandered off a wee bit in my thoughts... I was aching for Spring... still am... and I began to think of how much I love the scent of a fresh mown lawn... how a gentle breeze can carry it right to wherever you're lounging... how it can linger, hanging in the air like clean sheets on a clothesline...

It made me wish for a Retro Lawn Love-Seat... It made me hungry for a moment in the sweet outdoors with my loving Husband at my side... we could hold hands and glide as we shared our dreams... all while the scent of fresh cut grass teases our senses...

Then when my Husband would have to go in to sleep before work, I'd move over to the Retro Pink Lawn Chair of my dreams...

Of course I'd have to have a tall ice-cold glass of sweet tea... don't forget the straw... and just to make my dream a bit amusing, I think there should be side tables with whimsical tile coasters for our beverages to rest on...

Shhhh... don't tell my adorable lil puppy, Cocoa Puff, about the big white poodle I hired to come cut our lawn...

And, as long as I'm dreaming, my Grandmother may as well stop by and take a turn cutting the grass... She says it's more fun than baking biscuits...

Uhhh~Ohhhh... looks like a Cocoa Puff wannabe has wandered into my dream...

Once I wake up from this glorious respite, I think I'll have to order some grass-scented perfume to hold me over til the first breeze carrying this enchanting scent tickles my nose...

Green Dreams to you all...

God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

aahh...fresh cut grass... I love the scent of it, too. However...cutting 3 acres of it every week in 90+ heat and 100%+ humidity in the south is not ALWAYS my idea of a perfect day! Ha! But, I do have the blessing of swinging on my porch swing and drinking sweet tea when the labor is through. Until then my new blog friend, I'll enjoy this cold, crisp, beautifully sunny morning in the south...the heat will be here soon enough. Isn't that one the most awesome things about living on the east coast? We get to experience a little of it all, don't we? Ah, I am blessed...

Oooh, Pearl! I love the scent of fresh grass, too- especially wet grass!

My mother in law used to have chairs like that but I think they rust too easily in humid areas so they didn't last.

More fun than making biscuits! Ha-ha!

I wish my dreams were like this and not so random and colorful in an odd way. Lol! I cannot wait until Spring! Even though it rains here in Oregon during the spring at least the sun is brightly shining!

I'm with you Pearl! I love the smell of a fresh mowed lawn! I love the sounds of all the neighborhood lawnmowers going. I think it's because it reminds me of being a kid and when people mowed their lawn it meant summer!!!! I also love the sound of the old sprinklers....oh, that is the best sound!!!

Hugs, Sharon
