Cupid Doesn't Just Shoot Arrows...

Did y'all know that
Cupid was a Blacksmith?

He and all of his sweet, adorable
Cherub~Helpers actually have many jobs...

I don't know much of anything about
the fine art of being a Blacksmith...
At a Historical Festival that we attended
some years ago, there was a
Blacksmith demonstration area...
It was hot and loud...

I was so impressed with the work they did...
There was such excitement in their voices
as they shared about their unique skill...
There was amazing determination in
their faces as they focused on their craft...

I always have thought of Cupid as being
sparkling clean with glittered wings...

It seems odd to me to see Cupid
in a brown robe and footwear...
In my dreams his 10 pink toes
are always wiggling with delight
as he spreads Love around the world...

I love these images of hearts
being forged together with Love...

I like knowing that one of Cupid's jobs
is to repair broken hearts, too...

Cupid is often surrounded by Roses, Violets, and
sweet blue Forget-Me-Nots... That makes me smile...

I hope you enjoyed seeing some Blacksmithing Cupid's...
I wonder if the Blacksmith's I saw that day
had wings hidden under their shirts?!

God bless...

Until another time... Pearl

Please be sure to click on each image to enlarge...
the artwork and verse are too awesome to not see in full view!

Oh Pearl, these postcards are soooo adorable. I love your posts because you always have the cutest cards (and you're so sweet, too). When my granddaughter was born I made her a Valentine's quilt. I'm working on a craft project today, if it turns out OK, I'll post it. "Talk" soon!

Such darling post cards Pearl. I love these lil cupids.

Sometime please post a few pictures of yourself before you became ill. I'd love to see them. I think you look very pretty in your pink jammies standing by Tyler. Hugs, Kathi

I don't know about wings hidden under their wings, but I bet there was lots of sweat! Beautiful Valentine postcards. I had never seen blacksmith ones before. So lovely.
